FULL ITINERARY
Take the sleeper bus from Hanoi to Sapa, departing at 9pm.
DAY 1
Greeted by tour guide and driver at Lao Cai train station.
Transfer to Sapa Village on a shared tourist bus (1 hour)
Check-in at a hotel in Sapa with breakfast provided.
Trek to Y Linh Ho Village, home of the Black H'Mong people (6km)
Trek to Lao Chai village (3km).
Lunch in Lao Chai village.
Trek to Ta Van village, home of the Dzay minority people (3km).
NIGHT 1
Arrive at Homestay in Ta Van for dinner and overnight stay.
Optional activity: Learn to cook ethnic dishes with your homestay host.
DAY 2
Breakfast at Ta Van.
Trek to Giang Ta Chai, home to Red Dzao and H’mong people (8km).
Visit Su Pan village, known for its cultural charm.
Lunch in Su Pan village.
Explore the natural and cultural beauty of Su Pan.
Scenic drive back to Sapa (10km).
Depart from Sapa by sleeper bus at 4pm.
Return to Hanoi around 9pm.
IMPORTANT NOTES
The trek is relatively easy, though the trail can be quite slippery if it rains. Hiking shoes, preferably waterproof, are highly recommended.
Depending on the season, it can be quite cold, especially at night. It’s best to dress in layers and pack a warm jacket in the winter.
This experience is not suitable for young children and people with mobility impairments.
Price is per person and includes private room and bath. Pricing varies depending on type of room at the homestay. Dorm room, single room and double room (in private bungalows) are available.
